Opera Naples Summer Youth Program
Registration is now open!
A program like none other, young performers prepare and perform a comic operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan in the span of two weeks! This incredible program challenges and nurtures performers, building and improving vocal and theatrical skills in a demanding but supportive environment. In addition to rehearsing the production, youth participate in masterclasses and workshops focusing on vocal technique, acting, improvisation, and prop construction. All participants are accepted into the program and perform in the production regardless of experience or audition. The program is led by New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players veteran, Louis Dall'Ava and Opera Naples Director of Education, Robin Frank.
The Mikado
Summer Youth Program Production
Come enjoy the Opera Naples Summer Youth Program performance of The Mikado. Talented students ages 13-20 participate in a two-week musical production training program, culminating in a professional level performance at the Wang Opera Center. The program is led by New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players veteran, Louis Dall'Ava and Opera Naples Director of Education, Robin Frank. The Mikado is perhaps the best known of the Gilbert and Sullivan collaborations and was their last smash hit.
