Bass-baritone was born in Italy and made his professional debut in London in 1990. He has sung at major Opera Houses in Italy, Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Germany, Israel, England, Finland, France. In the USA he sang at Los Angeles Opera, Washington Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Minnesota Opera, Atlanta Opera, Carnegie Hall in NYC, Opera Naples, Sarasota Opera, and other venues. He resides in New York City. He is a specialist of the buffo roles of the Italian repertory of 19th century and known for the richness of his voice and as a talented singing-actor. He is also known for his crisp diction and sense of phrasing in all operatic roles he has sung, and because of this, he is often invited for Masterclasses or private classes on Italian diction and Italian repertory for young and advanced singers. He recently performed the 2 roles of Bartolo both in “The Marriage of Figaro” and “The Barber of Seville” at Colorado Opera, the Stepfather in Rossini’s “Cinderella” at Miami Lyric Opera and Don Pasquale at Bellas Artes Opera in Mexico City.
