Education Programs

Sponsor the entire Youth Summer Program: $8,000

(Director, Instructors, Costumes, Sets, Props, Music)

Sponsor the Youth Summer Program Director: $2,000

Opera Naples’ Summer Youth Program engages youth ages 13-21 in a two-week training program that culminates in performing an operetta for the public. In addition to preparing the production, the youth participate in masterclasses and workshops focusing on a variety of topics associated with opera including proper vocal technique, acting and improvisation, set and prop construction, and costume design.

Youth Summer Program Scholarships: $350 each

Cover the cost of tuition for a youth who might not otherwise be able to participate in the summer program. One past scholarship recipient said of the program, “This program is truly the highlight of my year!”

Sponsor 20 School Tour performances: $10,000

Sponsor 1 School Tour performance: $500

Each year, over 3,000 children in Collier and Lee County elementary schools are exposed to opera through the School Tour.  Opera Naples Resident Artists travel to school campuses and afterschool organizations and present a mini opera written for children. They also talk to the children about opera, performance etiquette, singing, and other questions that arise. “Stop, Bully!,” and “The Ugly Duck-ling'' are two beloved tour productions that teach valuable positive messages as well as contain fantastic music that engage and inspire the students.

Sponsor the Opera Naples Academy: $34,000

“It was simply the best operatic program I have ever attended.  Everyone in the program improved. It was truly an empowering experience.”

The Opera Naples Academy offers a valuable opportunity for exceptional singers to immerse in a ten-day program that provides individual vocal instruction and coaching from master teachers. Singers receive private voice lessons as well as participate in masterclasses presented by renowned faculty including Sherrill Milnes and Ramón Tebar. Each session concludes with a public concert of arias and operatic ensembles.

Opera Naples Academy Scholarships: $2,500 each

(program fee, housing, and travel)

Sponsor an exceptional singer’s program fee, local housing, and travel.

The Academy attracts a high number of international singers, and especially for participants who come from far, travel and housing are great expenses. Without scholarship, many would not be able to participate.

Sponsor a Resident Artists: $3,500 each

(stipend, travel, and housing)

Resident Artists Programs provide invaluable training and performance opportunities for emerging professional opera singers and have become a standard component in the development of artists. Opera Naples selects four singers from a national pool of applicants to be in residence in Naples for a period in which they perform principal roles in chamber operas at the Wang Opera Center, perform secondary roles in mainstage operas, perform a children’s opera for the In-School tour program, and perform in various community events. Like a paid internship, the artists are provided a stipend, travel, and housing.

Sponsor Youth Chorus: $500

Children in southwest Florida have the amazing opportunity to perform in mainstage productions alongside professional singers with orchestra. This unique experience is one they treasure and will never forget.

Sponsor Student Apprentice Program: $250

This program gives local students, ages 7-18 training and public performance opportunities, focusing on solo singing. “Sing for Smiles” is a component of the program which brings youth into local assisted living and independent living facilities to present performances with songs from an earlier era that stir the residents’ memories. Audience members and performers connect through music in this valuable intergenerational program.

Support a Student Note by Note (with a Piano): $3,000

The piano can inspire and delight audiences and performers alike. Not only as a solo instrument on the stage, but as an important tool in educating our children through building essential skills, self-esteem, and preparing for bright futures. The Opera Naples education room is in need of a new piano, and your generous donation of this most essential musical instrument will not only expose our students to the unique art form of opera, but also serve as an integral part of their musical journey for years to come.

Support Opera Naples

Sponsor a Principal Artist: $8000

Year after year Opera Naples brings some of the finest performers and state-of-the-art creative teams to the productions that our audiences enjoy on stage.  Support of these individual artists ensures that their vibrant craft is shared with every opera-lover in our community.  To that end, sponsoring one of Opera Naples' principal artists ideally demonstrates your passion for opera as well as connects you more directly to the creative process of our Opera Company.  Such generous sponsorship makes it possible for Opera Naples to bring to our audiences the highest-level artists performing for the most distinguished opera companies in the world!

Sponsor an Artist's Housing for a Week: $1500

Sponsoring one or more artist's housing during one of our production periods is a special way to support Opera Naples.  As a luxury location and premiere tourist destination, securing appropriate accommodation for our visiting artists and musicians in Naples can often be a difficult and expensive proposition.  As a result, our ability to bring these artists to Naples is directly dependent upon our donors' generosity.  Your generosity is in fact what allows us to provide the best experience to these world class artists during their stay in our unique and vibrant community!

A ‘Keyboard’ that Unlocks the Future: $1,500

Through numerous and varied special concerts and education programs, Opera Naples is reaching farther into our community to enrich audiences through the power of music. Like a time capsule, each experience unlocks a memory, emotion or experience that reminds us of our connection to one another. Will you help us in delivering our mission of providing access to opera with a much-needed piano keyboard? This instrument will be used during our touring community performances, in-school programs and resident artists training sessions.

Fund a Need: Opera Naples Necessities $1,000

In a world in which absolute cleanliness is next to Godliness, making sure every aspect of our performance spaces is squeaky clean is of utmost importance these days. From floors to ceilings, to chairs and costumes, and the spaces in between, our job is to ensure the health and safety for our patrons, artists and staff. We’ve created new protocols for disinfecting and sanitizing, integrated air purification systems for optimal ventilation, and invested in PPE to limit exposure. But additional funding is needed to maintain these efforts throughout the season. Will you help us in investing in the health and safety for all?
