The Four Note Opera

NAPLES, Fla. – Feb. 5, 2016- Opera aficionados and newcomers alike will enjoy the hilarity of The Four Note Opera. On Feb. 12 and 13, Opera Naples will present living American composer, Tom Johnson’s, best-known contemporary work. The Four Note Opera pokes fun at the opera world and the antics of dueling divos and divas as they dramatically compete for attention on stage. The performance takes place at the Wang Opera Center, 2408 Linwood Ave. in Naples, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29-$59 and are available online HERE or by calling (239) 963-9050.

The entire opera is comprised of four notes and showcases four distinct voices, a soprano, a tenor, a baritone and a contralto. The four performers are rising stars in the world of opera and are members of the Opera Naples Young Artist program, which provides expert tutelage to young singers, aged 20-32, who have embarked on a singing career.

Director of the Young Artist program, Robin Shuford Frank commented, “The program immerses the singers in high-level technical training while also providing valuable performance experience.” In addition to The Four Note Opera, these four artists will be featured in La Traviata, an upcoming performance that will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Tiburon in March.
