RAMÓN TEBAR is considered one of the leading Spanish conductors of his generation. Recently appointed new Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Valencia Symphony Orchestra in Spain for a first period of four years, he holds other positions in both America and Europe such as: Opera Naples (Artistic Director, 2014-…), Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofia (Principal Guest Conductor, 2015-…); Florida Grand Opera (Music Director and Principal Conductor, 2010-…, being the first Spanish conductor to be appointed Music Director of an American opera company); Palm Beach Symphony (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, 2007-…); Santo Domingo Music Festival (2009-2015).

Acclaimed for his musical versatility, compelling interpretations and orchestra building skills, conductor Ramón Tebar’s international reputation in both the opera and orchestral arenas continues to expand. Ramón Tebar has been recognized with various honors and awards, including the Henry C. Clark Conductor of the Year Award by Florida Grand Opera in 2010 and 2013, The Miami Herald as “Top 20 under 40” and “100 españoles by Marca España”. In 2014, he was bestowed the Cross of Officer of the Order of Mérito Civil in recognition of his cultural accomplishments by His Majesty, the King of Spain Felipe VI.

Chuck Hudson has directed opera productions at major international companies including Cape Town Opera (South Africa), Cincinnati Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Minnesota Opera, Atlanta Opera, Sacramento Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Opera Cleveland, Seattle Opera, San Francisco Opera Center, Wolf Trap Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, among others. He has directed award winning theatre productions in New York and regionally, including The Pearl Theatre, The Chester Theater, Cape May Stage, The Children’s Theatre Festival of Houston, New City Theatre, and Chicago’s Fox Valley Shakespeare Festival. Chuck’s work as a director was mentioned in the January 2011 Edition of American Theatre Magazine. In addition to directing, Chuck continues to focus on work with young professional artists. He was a co-creator of Seattle Opera’s Young Artist Program where he directed productions as well as created and instructed specialized classes on Acting and Movement skills for singers. He has directed productions at San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program, Santa Fe Opera’s Apprentice Artist Program, AVA Opera Theater, BU Opera Institute, USC-Thornton Opera, Carnegie-Mellon, Manhattan School of Music Opera Theater, Cincinnati Conservatory, Indiana University Opera Theatre, and Music Academy of the West. He was the Artistic Associate of La Lingua della Lirica for two seasons in Italy, a guest artist at S.I.V.A.M. in Mexico City and has been an annual Master Teacher at San Francisco Opera’s Merola and Adler Fellows programs for more than a decade.

Chuck travels annually to Australia to work with singers at The Melba Opera Trust in Melbourne, The Sydney Conservatorium, N.I.D.A., Opera Australia Young Artist Program, the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts in Perth, and professional singers via the Opera and Arts Support Group. He directed the Australian Premiere of the German Opera by Goetz based on Shakespeare’s THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (at WAAPA), was a Guest Director at the Melbourne Conservatory of Music’s Opera Training Program, and presented public Showcases for professional singers at the residence of the American Consul General in Sydney for the Opera and Arts Support Group. The Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation has also invited Chuck to work with their singers New Zealand where he is now an annual master teacher. For 7 years Chuck was Artistic Director of The Immediate Theatre in Seattle: a physically based company committed to the creation of visually exciting dramatic works. Chuck’s specialty in movement comes from a background in gymnastics as well as being one of three Americans to have received a diploma from the Marcel Marceau International School of Mimedrama in Paris. He is the only American to be appointed to teach at Marceau’s School, and he performed with Marceau on his 1991 European Tour and in Klaus Kinski’s film Paganini. Chuck also studied at the Paris School for Theatrical Fencing and was awarded an Honorary Diploma from the French Academy of Arms. Acting roles include Orsino in Twelfth Night, Brutus in Julius Caesar, and Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew with the Seattle Shakespeare Festival, and Caliban in The Tempest with his own Immediate Theatre.

Svetlana Aksenova has been acclaimed internationally for her performances as Lisa in a new production of The Queen of Spades at the Dutch National Opera, directed by Stefan Herheim and conducted by Mariss Jansons, the title role in Rusalka at the Paris Opera, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Norwegian National Opera and Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, and Fevroniya in Dmitry Cherniakov’s production of Rimsky Korsakov’s The Invisible City of Kitezh, first at the Dutch National Opera and then for her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. Aksenova made her North American debut in the autumn of 2016 as Tatyana in Eugene Onegin with the Dallas Opera and her South American debut in the same role at the Teatro Municipal in Sao Paolo, Brazil. In the summer of 2016, Aksenova made her debut with the Rome Opera as Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly, the same role with which she made her debuts at both the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and Berlin State Opera the following year. In early 2017, she debuted at the Hamburg State Opera as Desdemona in Otello. She returned to the Norwegian National Opera in the summer of 2017 as the title role in a new production of Tosca, directed by Calixto Beito, and later reprised the role in Stuttgart. Aksenova has most recently been recently heard as Cio-Cio-San for her debut at the Zurich Opera, and she will soon make her debut with the Vancouver Opera as Tatyana in Eugene Onegin. Born in St. Petersburg, Aksenova pursued her vocal studies at the renowned Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory, where, while still a student, she came to critical attention for her performance as the title role in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta. Aksenova was also privileged to participate in master classes with legendary soprano Renato Scotto. She was invited to join the ensemble of the Basel Opera, where over several seasons she developed her repertoire to include such roles as Desdemona, Lisa, Rusalka, Cio-Cio-San, Mimi in La Boheme and Blanche in Dialogues des Carmelites. Aksenova also starred in the title role of Puccini’s Suor Angelica in Dortmund, staged by Cristine Mielitz. Her international debuts followed in rapid succession. Other roles in her operatic repertoire include Amelia in Simon Boccanegra, the title role in Luisa Miller, Marguerite in Faust, Margherita and Elena in Mefistofele, and the title role in Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur. Svetlana Aksenova also has a vast concert repertoire, including Vivaldi’s Gloria, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and Misa Pastoralis, Brixi’s Magnificat, and Beethoven´s Mass in C Major. She has also sung Berlioz’ Messe Solennelle, Bizet´s Te Deum, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Stabat Mater, Shostakovich and Dvorak´s Stabat Mater, and Mahler´s Fourth Symphony. In 2015, she made her debut with the Grand Theatre in Geneva in concerts of Verdi’s Requiem.
Marianne Cornetti is internationally recognized as one of the leading Verdi mezzo-sopranos of her generation. She has appeared as Amneris in Aida, Azucena in Il Trovatore, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Princess Eboli in Don Carlos at prestigious opera houses across the world, garnering rave reviews and winning the hearts of audiences globally. Opera Magazine claims, “If her timbre did not sear itself into the memory, her vocal command of this redoubtable role was complete” and Seen and Heard International raves, “[Her] voice is a miracle of power and flexibility from top to bottom. Cornetti's verismo repertoire includes Santuzza in Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana, which she performed at Teatro alla Scala; Princess de Bouillon in Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro di San Carlo, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Regio in Turin, Opera di Firenze, and Dutch National Opera; and Rosa in Cilea's L'Arlesiana, which she sang to great acclaim at the L'Opera de Montpellier and at Carnegie Hall with the Opera Orchestra of New York. She appears frequently in concert in such works as Verdi's Requiem, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Elgar's Sea Picture and De Falla's El Amor Brujo. She has recorded Cilea's L'Arlesiana and Puccini's Edgar opposite Plácido Domingo and was recently featured on a Teatro Regio di Parma recording of Verdi's Don Carlo released in 2017 on the Dynamic record label. Appearing regularly on the international stage, American bass Steven Humes continues to perform leading roles including König Marke, König Heinrich, Vodník, Hunding, Fafner, Fasolt, Daland, Hermann Landgraf, Sarastro, Ramfis, Oroveso, Wurm, Gremin, Commendatore, Biterolf, Lodovico, Pistola, Alaska-Wolf Joe, Truffaldin, Eremit and Titurel among many others. He continues to appear with many of the world's most important theaters including The Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro Real in Madrid, Opernhaus Zürich, Théatre des Champs Elysées, Opera di Roma, Opéra Monte Carlo, Teatro Regio in Torino, Hamburg Staatsoper, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, The Bolshoi, the Salzburg Festival, Luxembourg's Les Théâtres de la Ville, Tokyo's Bunka Kaikan and Beijing’s NCPA. Mr. Humes has also been heard throughout the United States in theaters including Los Angeles Opera, Atlanta Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Boston Lyric Opera, Chicago Opera Theater and Chicago's Ravinia Festival. This season he returns to Teatro Regio in Torino as König Marke in a celebrated production of Tristan und Isolde, singing once again under the baton of Gianandrea Noseda. Other recent highlights are two RING cycles (and their revivals) at Le Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Bayerische Staatsoper, König Marke in Paris, Lohengrin performances in Copenhagen, St. Gallen and Beijing, Macbeth in St. Gallen, König Karl in Fierrabras in Brussels, a tour in France of Jeanne d'Arc au bûcher (Joan of Arc at the Stake) with Marion Cotillard as Joan, Don Giovanni performances in Boston and Bremen, Germany, a revival of Jeanne d'Arc au bûcher at Avery Fisher in New York and a St. Matthew Passion with the Beethoven Orchester in Bonn Germany. Steven was also heard recently in Don Giovanni with the Théatre des Champs Elysées, in Das Rheingold in Monte Carlo and in Semele at the Canadian Opera Company. One of his many DVD recordings is the highly acclaimed double-grammy winning Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny recorded with the Los Angeles opera in 2007. Opera News hailed "Humes was a stentorian Alaska-Wolf Joe". He recorded the role for DVD again in 2010 with a Fura dels Baus production at Madrid's Teatro Real. Marc Heller has appeared at major opera houses across the United States and Europe, including the Metropolitan Opera,  Gran Teatre del Liceu - Barcelona,   New York City Opera, the Royal Swedish Opera - Stockholm, Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater, and others in such roles as Calaf (Turandot), Radames (Aida), Otello, Don Josè (Carmen),  and others. Heller originated the role of the opera’s antagonist, Gao Jian-li, in Tan Dun’s The First Emperor, going on to make his principal   Metropolitan Opera debut in the role opposite Placido Domingo performing the title role. Mr. Heller has enoyed frequent performances of the role of Radames,  including in R.A.I. simulcasts from the Pyramids, and a new production at London's Royal Albert Hall, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Mr. Heller’s performances on recording include the role of Chairman Mao in Adams’ Nixon in China (Naxos); production of which was nominated for a Grammy Award. In coming seasons, Heller reprises performances as Calaf, and Otello; also making his house and role debuts at Dallas  Opera  in Szymanowski’s Krol Roger,  and in Germany as Wagner’s Tristan, in Tristan und Isolde.
Gordon Hawkins Baritone Gordon Hawkins is critically acclaimed throughout the world for his in-depth interpretations and lush baritone voice. A dramatic baritone with an international reputation as a “Rigoletto specialist,” Mr. Hawkins has delighted audiences as the tragic Verdi underdog in more than 200 performances, most recently with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Vancouver Opera, Washington National Opera, Arizona Opera, and Opera Colorado. He is now earning critical acclaim as a Wagner specialist: “Alberich was superbly realized by baritone Gordon Hawkins, in his [Los Angeles Opera] début. Despite wearing a grotesque puppet head and clunky boots that hobbled his movements, Hawkins delivered a sterling vocal characterization of the power-mad Nibelung.” (Opera News). He has been engaged as Alberich in Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen at esteemed international companies including: San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Seattle Opera, Washington National Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, and the BBC Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall in London. Last season, Mr. Hawkins performed the role of Amonasro in Aïda with Washington National Opera and Seattle Opera; Scarpia in Tosca with Arizona Opera; and in concert sang the baritone solo in Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen and Daniel Bernard Roumain’s Harvest with ASU Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Hawkins’ career is shaped by performances of opera’s most popular baritone roles at leading companies throughout the world.
